You might already use Microsoft Viva Connections in Microsoft Teams, but did you know you can integrate all your Smart Icons right into in Microsoft Viva Connections?
What do you need to get started?
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft SharePoint
- Liquit Workspace
- Liquit Workspace SharePoint WebPart
Uploading the SharePoint WebPart
The easiest place to start getting your Smart Icons ready is by adding the webpart to your app catalog for SharePoint, for more information how to create or access your App catalog within Microsoft SharePoint please visit: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/use-app-catalog for more information on your App Catalog.
After adding the Liquit Workspace SharePoint Webpart it should become available like so:

Add the SharePoint Webpart to your Home page.
You are now ready to start using the SharePoint WebPart in either Sharepoint or use it in conjunction with Microsoft Viva Connections. If you go to the SharePoint page you want to make your default starting page in Microsoft Viva Connections you can add the Liquit Workspace WebPart like illustrated below:

Click the ‘Pencil’ icon to edit the settings for the Webpart

All you need to do now is provide the Zone you want to connect to.

Your workspace icons are now available on the SharePoint Page

Configure your Microsoft Viva Connections starting page
After you create and customize the communication site that you want to use as your home site, follow these steps to set it as your home site.
- Go to Settings in the SharePoint admin center, and sign in with an account that has admin permissions for your organization.
- Select Home site.
- Paste the URL of the communication site that you want to become the home site.
- Select Save.
On the Settings page, the home site URL will appear in the Current value column, it can take up to 10 minutes for the settings to sync.

After you have followed these steps Microsoft Viva Connections should become available to you in Microsoft Teams.
